The Jimbelunga community is unique in its dedication and delivery of care to our residents in all aspects throughout the journey of ageing.

Rooms at Jimbelunga have been fully renovated with our resident’s care needs, comfort and enjoyment at the heart of the restorations. Each room has custom designed furniture to provide care, relaxation and enjoyment.

The interiors are bright and breezy and designed to the highest standard. Large sliding doors provide direct access to outside sitting areas in our beautifully landscaped gardens.

These spacious rooms include a private ensuite. All rooms include emergency nurse call buttons and individually controlled air conditioning. Each room has an electric adjustable bed with uniquely designed bedhead, built-in wardrobe, armchair, bedside table and over bed table. There is also a coaxial outlet for the installation of a TV.

We encourage residents to make their rooms as comfortable and homelike as possible. They may bring in their own bedspread or doona, wall hangings, photographs, a favourite armchair, clock/radio and television.

Our community

Jimbelunga has its own spacious dining and lounge areas which have warm decor, modern furnishings and plenty of natural light. These areas provide a comfortable environment for relaxation, interaction with others, or watching the large screen TV. The dining room and outdoor sitting areas also allow families and friends to join their loved ones for a meal or a special occasion.

The beautifully landscaped and well-manicured lawns are an inviting spot for relaxation or a pleasant stroll. They are designed with comfortable outdoor seating as well as level pathways. We have a large community room for recreation, meetings and celebrations.

Professional care is provided by staff passionate about giving our residents specialised care, assistance in daily living, companionship and support. They strive to provide an atmosphere where residents feel comfortable, included, relaxed and at home.

Professional nursing care is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Each resident is provided with an individualised care program, including access to a range of health and community services through ATSICHS Brisbane. These include GP visits, dental and oral health services, chronic disease management, optometry and audiology and other visiting specialist and allied health services.

Families are encouraged to be involved with our residents in decision making about ongoing care. Our staff education program is comprehensive, ensuring that our clinical standards continue to reflect best practice.
