Victoria Pewee
Clinical Nurse Manager
What do you love about your role?
There are a lot of things I love about this role but I’m going to talk about a few.
I love that each day is an opportunity to make a difference in a resident’s life. I love that I get to interact with the residents, listen to them and care for them. I love that I am part of a team to strive to provide the best care possible of our residents.
Who inspires you?
Both my mother and my father. They are both caring in nature and they are both nurses as well.
What prompted you to get into this industry?
I always wanted to be a nurse. From a young age, I knew what I wanted to be after finishing school. I have been in the nursing industry for over a decade, and I have loved being a nurse for these years. I would also say, I feel fulfilled when I provide care to the sick or to those who are vulnerable. I believe there is nothing more fulfilling than providing care to the vulnerable.
Share a moment when you made a difference to a resident’s day.
I believe every day is an opportunity to make a difference in the day of the resident. It could be as simple as getting them a cup of tea for them or listening to their stories and concerns.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I have three beautiful kids so currently, I have no time for hobbies outside of work as I am occupied with “mummy duties”.
