What do you love about your role?

I get a lot of job satisfaction because of the feedback I receive from the residents and staff and visitors.

What prompted you to get into this industry?

After 42 years in the bowling club industry, as a greenkeeper, I was looking for something a little different. My brother and my nephew both work for ATSICHS Brisbane and enjoy their work, so I thought I would apply for a job.

Share a moment when you made a difference to a resident’s day?

Just finding the time to stop and have a chat with residents and sometimes explaining what I am doing seems to make their day.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

I love playing my guitar, I like to travel, bushwalk,  going to the Sunday markets with my sisters and cousin, spending time at home with my family and my fur babies, two cats and a dog and also the movies.
