It’s our 30th birthday!
We turn 30 today!
Hear from our Operations Manager Belinda about what this massive milestone means to her. Check out the Q&A.
What does Jimbelunga Nursing Centre (JNC) turning 30 mean to you?
Turning 30 is a testament to the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in JNC over the years. It signifies three decades of providing quality care and support to our community, and it’s a moment to reflect on both the vision and example of Aunty Pamela Mam, and the impact we’ve made on so many of our most vulnerable elders.
What are three things you are most proud of about JNC?
- The consistent high-quality of care provided to residents.
- Our community engagement and being able to build a trusting relationship with mob so our elders that do require residential aged care can come here and have a sense of safety and belonging.
- Our model of care — we are First Nations world leaders in providing residential aged care and are setting the standard for all other providers.
Could you share a favourite memory with us from your time as Operations Manager?
One of my favourite memories was our 25th Anniversary celebration which was both a community and cultural celebration day where residents, staff, families and community came together and shared our culture, food, and stories. It was a proud moment to see everyone here together.
What would you like to share with the community on JNC’s 30th birthday?
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has been part of this journey. Your support, dedication, and love have made Jimbelunga true to its name as a place of friendship and a very special place to be.
