Congratulations to ATSICHS Brisbane founder Aunty Pam Mam who recently received an honorary doctorate from Griffith University for her services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services, the community and education. For the past 44 years, Aunty Pam has dedicated her life to caring for the health and wellbeing of our mob. She built our medical clinics from the ground up, played a major role in the management of Jimbelunga Nursing Centre and was pivotal in getting many health and human service programs up and running. After an official ceremony, family and friends joined a community event to honour Aunty Pam’s achievements in our community. We are truly blessed by Aunty Pam.
