What do you love about your role?

Making residents smile and laugh, making a positive difference in their day, no matter how small.

Who inspires you?

Amelia Earhart and her quote “The most effective way to do it, is to do it”.

What prompted you to get into this industry?

I was in aged care many many years ago. I love the caring aspect of working in aged care.

Share a moment when you made a difference to a resident’s day?

Sitting listening, offering a hug when a resident was very upset. Being told thank you and that they appreciate me being there for them.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Time with family and friends. Upcycling furniture, decoupage and researching family trees.
